Affiliate disclosure

Effective date: 1 October 2026

Luminary Space earns money from one paid link. This page explains how that works, who pays, what it changes and what it does not.

Links on this site to Norton AntiVirus Plus are affiliate links. Every one of them is labelled as paid where it appears. The link address begins with an affiliate network's tracking domain rather than the vendor's own domain, because the network records that the visit came from this site and then forwards your browser to the vendor's website. You can see the full address in your browser's status bar before clicking. No other link on the site is paid.

Who pays, and when

If you follow the link and buy a subscription, the vendor pays a commission, through the affiliate network, to BIBLIOTHEQUE BUSINESS CENTRE, the company that publishes this site. A commission is paid only when a purchase is completed; visiting the vendor's site without buying earns nothing. The amount is set by the affiliate programme and may differ by country.

What it costs you

Nothing extra. The commission comes out of the vendor's side of the sale. The price you are offered on the vendor's site is the same whether you arrive through this link or go there directly, and this site has no special discount or arrangement to offer.

What the commission influences

It decides which product is linked. Norton AntiVirus Plus appears on this site because the publisher has an affiliate relationship for it, not because it was chosen after comparing it against other products. The site makes no claim that it is preferable to any alternative, including the protection built into your device.

What it does not influence

  • Definitions and explanations. The glossary and explainer pages describe general concepts. They would be identical if the link were removed.
  • Advice about free options. The site explains the protection already included in Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, and the household habits recommended by official guidance, whether or not they reduce the chance that you buy anything.
  • Consumer rights information. Your rights under New Zealand consumer law are described with links to the official sources, including where they may help you get money back from a vendor.
  • The order of pages. Pages are arranged from general concepts to specific buying questions, as described on the About page.

What does decide the content

Content is decided by what a reader in New Zealand would need to understand antivirus products and the language used to sell them, and by what official New Zealand sources say on security, scams, privacy and consumer rights. Product-specific statements are limited to the information supplied to us through the affiliate arrangement, which is brief; where it says nothing on a point, we say so and send you to the vendor.

The relationship, stated plainly

Luminary Space is not the vendor's website, and the publisher is not a reseller, partner or authorised agent of the vendor. The vendor does not review, approve or write any content here. The affiliate relationship is a commercial arrangement to pay for referred sales, and nothing more.
